EMERGENCY FOALING ASSISTANCE

POST-FOALING EXAMINATIONS

Our services extend to routine post-foaling checkups, ensuring thorough examinations to verify the mare has successfully expelled her membranes and has not experienced any undue trauma during the foaling process.

NEONATAL HEALTH CARE

​

We conduct comprehensive neonatal foal health checks to ascertain the absence of diseases or abnormalities, including but not limited to:

​

• Retained meconium

• Patent urachus

• Umbilical infections

• Diarrhoea

• Pneumonia

• Angular limb deformities

• Flexural deformities

• Failure of passive transfer of immunity

​

An IgG test is available to measure immunoglobulin levels from colostrum absorption. In cases of failed passive transfer, our veterinary team can administer a plasma transfusion for immediate corrective measures.
